Their research identified a few key facts. One, 80% of Zip owners drink more water, which is easy to understand. And with families, it’s a far easier and healthier solution than juices and other alternatives. Two, and such an important factor today, is it eliminates the need for bottled water. Three, in conjunction with UNSW Global, they have estimated the cost to be $1.25 per week.
From our point of view, the other major benefit is the speed in which cooking can be done, and this is especially true with a young or growing family. Having access to instant boiling water just makes life easier.
With modern kitchen trends focusing on de-cluttering the kitchen sink, the new design delivers, and is also a result of overwhelming demand from Zip Water customers.
Zip Water have been working closely with the design community to understand their customers' requirements when choosing a water appliance that services all of their boiled, chilled and sparkling needs. The team administered a variety of qualitative research, and worked alongside a range of different design and retail specifiers, to get an insightful look into exactly what consumers were looking for. This resulted in the this All-In-One Arc design.
With advanced energy efficiency and best-in-class cooling technology, the All-in-One Arc also performs to the highest standards of environmental responsibility and sustainability. Unlike water-cooled systems, its air-cooled ventilation system doesn’t use precious water during the cooling process.
It has also been awarded a Good Design Award for Product Design in the 2017 Good Design Awards.
